When the majority of snack foods are full of sugar, processed grains, and unhealthy oils, coming up with grab and go easy paleo snack ideas can be a huge challenge! I’ve been eating mostly paleo for several years now, and I’ve compiled my favorite zero-prep paleo snacks for you in this list.

I’m sharing paleo brand options for most items on this list. But if you want to look for options at your local grocery store, just remember to check ingredients lists before you buy.

Just a heads up: This post contains Amazon affiliate links. That means if you click a link and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission at no cost to you. As always, all opinions are entirely my own. Thanks for supporting me!

1. Fruit with Nut Butter

I love to eat bananas and apples with nut butter for a snack! Peanut butter isn’t paleo (because peanuts are actually legumes rather than nuts), but almond butter and cashew butter are two of my favorites.

You can buy nut butter in small packets which make them perfect for a grab-and-go paleo snack. Just make sure your nut butter doesn’t contain sugar or non-paleo oils.

2. Paleo Granola

This is a great option if you’re craving something sweet! You can buy paleo granola on Amazon or in a health foods store, or make your own paleo granola at home.

3. Nuts

Aside from peanuts, all other nuts are fair game for grab and go paleo snacking! Almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, brazil nuts… the list goes on and on. Take your pick!

If they are roasted, check the oil used. If you want to be strictly paleo, do your research on which oils are approved.

4. Avocado and Tuna

This will probably sound weird to some, but if you need a really filling grab and go easy paleo snack, or even a quick paleo lunch on the go, grabbing an avocado and a can of tuna is a great option! Mixed together, an avocado and tuna taste great together, and will give you a bunch of protein and healthy fats.

Look for tuna that is sustainably caught and low in mercury, like this Safe Catch brand. Also check for low sodium, and make sure the tuna is packed in water or olive oil, not vegetable oil, if you want it to be paleo.

5. Meat Jerky

Check the ingredients on your jerky before you buy if you want to make sure it’s totally paleo compliant. Avoid added sugar, soy products, additives, and artificial flavors.

Here are a few paleo options on Amazon:

6. Plantain Chips, Salsa, and Guacamole

I get my plantain chips from Trader Joe’s, but here’s a paleo option on Amazon. I’ve tried this brand as well and they are great!

I think plantain chips are delicious with salsa and guacamole! You can also get paleo grain-free chips that are more like tortilla chips.

7. Dried Fruit

To keep things paleo, make sure your dried fruit doesn’t have added sugar or preservatives. Dried mango and dried figs are my favorite! It tastes like candy! Prunes, dates, and figs taste amazing with nut butter, as well.

8. Dark Chocolate

This one may be debatable with some, but dark chocolate is generally considered paleo-compliant – the darker, the better. I try to look for chocolate that is fair trade. Hu makes some great paleo options!

9. Hard Boiled Eggs

You can prep one big batch of these in a few minutes, then snack on them all week! You can also buy them already boiled in some stores, but watch out for preservatives on the ingredients list.

10. Larabars (Select Flavors)

Larabars with fruit, nut, and spice ingredients only make a perfect grab and go easy paleo snack. Avoid the ones with chocolate chips and peanuts to stay strictly paleo.

Or, you can make your own “Larabars” with your favorite nuts and mix ins!

11. Coconut, Cashew, or Almond Yogurt

These non-dairy yogurts make a perfect grab and go easy paleo snack, and they’re great for your gut health! I’m always trying to add as many probiotic foods to my diet as possible. Just make sure it doesn’t have added sugar.

12. Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds or Sunflower Seeds

These are simple, delicious, and full of nutrients!

13. Seaweed Snacks

These SeaSnax are sustainably harvested, organic, and only have a few ingredients: seaweed, olive oil, and sea salt.

14. Coconut Chips

Crunchy, sweet, and slightly salty, coconut chips are one of my favorite grab and go easy paleo snacks! Just watch out for sugar and go for an unsweetened variety.

15. RXBARs

RXBARs are my favorite protein bar. They’re made with a few simple ingredients and taste great! The blueberry one is my favorite. Double check the ingredients, but the only one I know of that is not paleo would be the peanut butter variety.

16. Kale Chips and Other Veggie Chips

I would definitely recommend making your own kale chips (or other veggie chips) rather then buying them if possible, because it will be much cheaper. They’re really easy to make!

You can also buy them from Amazon or grocery stores if you don’t want to prep them yourself. Just look for paleo-approved oils and no additives or preservatives.

So tell me: what are your go-to grab and go easy paleo snacks? Leave a comment! It’s easy to get in a rut and I’m always looking for new ideas.
