These healthy homemade granola bar recipes are gluten-free and free of refined sugar, and they will save you money!

I’ve personally struggled to find store-bought granola bars that aren’t full of sugar and other gross ingredients. Often when I do find healthy granola bars they are ridiculously pricey. Instead of buying granola bars I’m only half satisfied with either because of ingredients or the price, my goal is to start making my own healthy homemade granola bars.

I like to keep a granola bar or protein bar in my bag at all times, because I never know when I might get hungry. Having a healthy snack with me helps me not spend unnecessary money on food or resort to junk food.

These seven healthy homemade granola bar recipes are gluten-free and refined sugar free, with paleo and vegan options as well!

Almond Coconut Snack Bars

From Hummusapien

Don’t these look delicious? I love the dark chocolate and coconut combination that reminds me of an Almond Joy bar.

They’re made with dates, ground flaxseed, oats, almond meal, cacao powder, baking soda, salt, unsweetened coconut, maple syrup, almond extract, vanilla, and Blue Diamond dark chocolate almonds.

From Living Healthy with Chocolate

Who doesn’t want to eat something healthy that tastes like cookie dough? I cannot wait to try these. I love that they don’t have any added sweeteners but are naturally sweetened with dates!

All wholesome ingredients: cashews, almonds, dates, unsweetened coconut, vanilla, flaxseed meal, dark chocolate chips, and salt.

Pumpkin Spice Granola Bars

From Fed and Fit

Why is it that people think pumpkin is only for fall? I love it and think it should be eaten year-round.

This recipe calls for honey, coconut oil, vanilla, pumpkin puree, pumpkin seeds, unsweetened coconut, flax seeds, golden berries, dark chocolate chips, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.

And gingerbread shouldn’t be saved for Christmas alone because these look divine.

Honey, molasses, coconut oil, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, sea salt, almonds, walnuts or pecans, pepitas, golden raisins, dried cranberries, dried apricots, and chia seeds make up these homemade granola bars.

Grain-Free Granola Bars

From Dish by Dish

I love this recipe for its simplicity. These paleo homemade granola bars are made mostly of seeds and nuts, making them full of fiber and protein.

You can make these with mixed seeds, almonds, cashews, coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon.

Peanut Butter Granola Bars

gluten-free & vegan

From The Healthy Maven

The oat flour in these makes them seem more like cookies than granola bars – I’m not complaining!

The only ingredients you need for these are oats, sea salt, ground flax, peanut butter, maple syrup, and dark chocolate chips (optional).

Storing Your Homemade Granola Bars

After you’ve made some of these healthy homemade granola bar recipes, you are probably wondering how to store them. My recommendation is waiting for them to cool completely, then cutting them and layering them in a container with pieces of parchment paper between layers. Store them in the refrigerator.
