12 Clean Eating Recipes We've LOVED This Fall

These tried and true clean eating recipes are guaranteed to be delicious! I’ve made them, and they were a hit with my whole family.

I genuinely love the thrill of cooking up a new dish, even if it’s for guests and I don’t know how it’s going to turn out for sure. I love the challenge and the risk involved. To me, it’s way more fun than making something I already know will be a hit.

But, I know not everyone’s like that! (Ok, maybe most people aren’t like that.)

If you’re looking for some new clean eating recipes inspiration, but you want to know it’s good before you make it, this post is for you!

I’m sharing my top 12 clean eating recipes I made this fall that my whole family LOVED.

Entrées

Easy Sausage and Cabbage Skillet
(paleo, gluten-free, whole30)

sausage and cabbage skillet

From Fox and Briar

This clean eating recipe is perfect for those weeknights when you just need something easy to throw together! With just a few ingredients, you only need one pan to cook it up. (Yay for fewer dishes to wash!) I added a bit of red wine vinegar and turmeric for extra flavor and nutritional value.

Slow Cooker White Chicken Chili with Sweet Potato
(paleo, gluten-free, whole30)

slow cooker white chicken chili

From Paleo Running Momma

Slow cooker recipes are so great for days you know you aren’t going to have time to cook in the evening. Throw it together in the morning and forget about it all day until you sit down to eat! I doubled the recipe because I wanted lots of leftovers and I’m glad I did – it was delicious! The only thing I’d change next time is I might add the sweet potatoes in a bit later on into the cooking because they were a bit mushy for my taste by the end.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff
(paleo, gluten-free, whole30)

paleo slow cooker beef stroganoff

From Wholesomelicious

This clean eating recipe quickly became a new favorite! Ryan legitimately wanted to hide the leftovers so no one could eat them but him. I cut up steaks for this recipe, which obviously contributed to it being so crazy good! But you can also use less expensive beef (as detailed in the post).

Enchiladas with Poblano-Pork Stuffing and Creamy-Avocado Sauce
(paleo, gluten-free, whole30)

Green enchiladas with poblano pork

From 40 Aprons

Ok, the flavor in these enchiladas was pretty much out of this world. They were crazy good. The thing is, they took a very long time to make by myself. If you love to cook and you have time, MAKE THESE and enlist some help if you can! If you don’t love to cook, this one might be a bit too complex for you.

Breakfasts

Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
(gluten-free, vegan)

pumpkin pie oatmeal

From The Glowing Fridge

As you’ll quickly see, since I’ve included several pumpkin recipes in this post, I love pumpkin. This stove-top pumpkin pie oatmeal is super delicious, and I’ve even eaten it for lunch a few times. I altered the recipe a bit by cutting the water and using canned coconut milk instead of almond milk to make it really creamy, then I topped it with chopped dates and added 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut to make it naturally sweet, and left out the maple syrup.

Pumpkin Apple Breakfast Bake
(paleo, gluten-free, whole30)

pumpkin apple breakfast bake

From Wholesomelicious

This is an amazing healthy alternative to baked oatmeal for breakfast. You really will have a hard time believing how healthy it is when you taste this. It doesn’t have many ingredients but is naturally sweetened with banana and has some protein thanks to the three eggs in it.

One-Pot Spicy Eggs and Potatoes
(paleo-friendly, gluten-free)

spicy eggs and potatoes

From Pinch of Yum

NEW FAVORITE BREAKFAST RIGHT HERE. I’ve made this several times already, including meals for guests and for Ryan’s birthday. It tastes like something you’d get at a trendy gourmet brunch place, but it’s easy. I couldn’t find ancho chili powder so I subbed regular chili powder with 1/4 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes. I also used fresh tomatoes and didn’t bother blending the sauce in a blender – it was delicious a little chunky. I fried the eggs separately, and I subbed sweet potatoes for white ones. You can leave out the bread and cheese if you’re paleo and you won’t even miss them. If you try just one of these clean eating recipes, I recommend this one!

Sides

Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Garlic Bacon Aioli
(paleo, gluten-free, whole30)

roasted brussels sprouts

From The Real Food RDs

I made this as an appetizer for a birthday party. I think my family thought it was a little strange that I was serving brussels sprouts (not something people eat often around here), but as soon as they tasted them they were asking for the recipe. Even my two-year-old nephew couldn’t get enough of these. I’d recommend including the horseradish mustard, but I’d reduce the garlic next time because it was quite strong.

Pumpkin Spice Bread
(paleo, gluten-free, vegan-friendly)

paleo pumpkin bread

From The Barefoot Cook

We loved this bread! It’s more of a grainy hearty bread than a sweet cakey one – which I loved. I reduced the maple syrup because I didn’t want it to be very sweet and I didn’t regret it. Perfect with a slab of butter (if you’re not paleo).

Turmeric Tomato Detox Soup
(paleo, gluten-free, whole30, vegan)

turmeric tomato detox soup

From Detox DIY

This cleansing soup makes you feel energized and helps boost your metabolism. I quadrupled this recipe and used fresh garden tomatoes because we had heaps of them. We ended up freezing half of it for later and it still tasted amazing after thawing and reheating. I loved the flavor and health benefits! Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory spice. I’ve written another post about turmeric’s health benefits and 20 ways to use it.

Desserts

Skillet Cookie aka Paleo Pizookie
(paleo, gluten-free)

Clean eating recipes that are tried and true: Paleo chocolate chip pizookie

From Clean Eating with a Dirty Mind

We loved this so much that I made it twice in one week. Ryan and I ate the whole thing both times and I didn’t feel one bit badly about it! Don’t worry if you don’t have a cast iron skillet. I don’t have one (yet) either, so I made it in a square glass baking dish and it turned out perfectly. I even cut the amount of honey and chocolate chips in half and with ice cream we didn’t even notice the difference. It’s basically a giant chocolate chip cookie, but slightly more cakey in texture.

Grain-Free Mixed Berry Crisp
(paleo, gluten-free, vegan)

grain-free mixed berry crisp

From Tasty Yummies

This cobbler is not only delicious, but gorgeous as well (as you can see). I love that it’s grain-free and easy for people like me to digest, but anyone who isn’t used to eating paleo will not know the difference. I subbed almonds for walnuts since Ryan is allergic, and I used chia seeds. Try this one out – you won’t regret it!

I’d love to hear from you when you try any of these clean eating recipes! I’m thinking about making these posts of clean eating recipes a monthly or seasonally regular thing, to share the recipes we’re loving. Let me know what you think 🙂
