Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar:
- Detoxing: ACV helps break down toxins, detoxing your liver and circulatory system.
- Digestion: ACV helps break down carbohydrates and prevent bloating, cut sugar cravings and keep you regular. It also boosts probiotics and enzymes, in turn boosting metabolism even helping to balance blood sugar.
- Boosting immune system: ACV has antibacterial properties and helps balance your body’s pH which can reduce your risk of illness by boosting your immune system.
The best apple cider vinegar to buy will be organic, unfiltered, and unpasteurized.
- Buying organic ensures no harmful chemicals have made their way into the product.
- Unfiltered ensures the “mother” is still inside, which is the dark cloudy part usually settled in the bottom of the bottle. The mother holds the enzymes, which are extremely beneficial for our health!
- Unpasteurized ensures none of the beneficial bacteria has been killed.
I personally love and trust Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar!
3 Apple Cider Vinegar Uses
Apple Cider Vinegar Use #1: Drink it in the morning.
Mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink it down first thing in the morning, before your coffee or breakfast.
After a night of sleep your body hasn’t had anything to drink for 6-10 hours! Making a habit of drinking a full glass of water first thing in the morning kickstarts your hydration for the day. The ACV kick-starts your digestion and metabolism as well!
You can use hot water and add lemon juice and/or honey if you like. It’ll make the flavor a little less intense and is definitely cozier that way.
Ryan and I both do this in the mornings, and it makes us feel energized and we can feel it get our digestion going.
Apple Cider Vinegar Use #2: Use it on your salad.
I simply splash it on my salad with some olive oil, pink himalayan salt and coarse black pepper for an easy homemade dressing.

Apple Cider Vinegar Use #3: Use it on Your hair for conditioning and shine.
I’ve been using apple cider vinegar spray on my hair instead of conditioner for a couple of years now. I have fine hair and it keeps it free of tangles, looking shiny and silky!
You can find instructions on how to make and use apple cider vinegar for hair conditioner in my post, as well as an explanation of why it is so beneficial for healthy hair!
I love that this conditioner is all-natural and toxin-free as opposed to the many brands of chemical-laden cosmetics out there, and it’s very cheap to make. I wrote another post including all of my favorite natural cosmetics that are affordable and work really well.
