If you’re trying to go zero waste, or if (like me) you’re just trying to take baby steps towards using less single-use plastic, finding good alternatives to Ziploc bags is an important step.
For a long time I kind of had the mentality that I could just do without food storage bags altogether, but when it comes right down to it, they really are so convenient. I found myself sneaking Ziploc bags here and there because the portability and ease for storage is just unmatched.
But I hate throwing away plastic, knowing what I do about the hundreds of years it takes to break down, and how much it pollutes the earth and oceans. (Read more about that in my post!)
So even though some reusable alternatives to Ziploc bags are still different varieties of plastic, they are food-safe and can be reused over and over. Having them on hand cuts down my single-use plastic use dramatically!
I reached out to a bunch of brands selling reusable alternatives to Ziploc bags and asked if they’d want to send me a sample of their product for me to test out for this blog post. The first 4 I’m writing about in this post I have personally used and loved!
I’m recommending 6 alternatives to Ziploc bags that are reportedly food-safe, and super easy to clean and reuse time and again.
