These 7 DIY natural ways to make your home smell amazing are entirely non-toxic and purify the air!
I am definitely a smell person. I think I must have an overly-sensitive nose, because I always seem to be smelling things before anyone else. It’s a blessing and a curse, because I enjoy good smells immensely, probably weirdly so, but bad or synthetic smells can give me headaches or I have to leave a room.
That being said, having a good smelling home makes me super happy! Unfortunately, lots of candles, room sprays, and wall plug air fresheners actually put synthetic chemicals and toxins into the air while pretending to make it more “refreshing.”
To show you what I mean, you can check out how the Environmental Working Group, a widely-respected organization doing intensive research to help us rid our lives of toxins, rates an Air Wick Aerosol Air Freshener with an F, the worst rating. Why? Because its ingredients include high developmental and reproductive toxicity, with other concerns for causing respiratory issues, skin irritations and allergies, harming the environment, and even containing carcinogens! Unfortunately, many brands have these sorts of toxins, and more.
So, I set out to find some better, DIY natural ways to making your home smell amazing and I found these 7 awesome ideas!
Essential Oils
Many of these DIY natural ways to make your home smell amazing use essential oils. Essential oils are completely non-toxic and all-natural oils with amazing scents and powerful health benefits. I personally purchase and love Rocky Mountain Oils. Their oils are of the highest quality, providing GC/MS test results for all oils confirming their purity. Plus, they provide free shipping on all items, and offer free returns for any reason on any items (even if opened) up to 90 days after they were purchased!
